Region 27 Violin, Viola, Cello Masterclass

From 2011-2021 my students made up the largest percentage of the region orchestra members admitted from any one school. I’m pleased to continue offering my teaching services to all students in Region 27 in a weekly masterclass format to help students prepare for the audition. This virtual masterclass is limited to 6 spots per violin class & 6 spots in the viola class. Violin & Viola Masterclass will begin meeting on September 1 on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:30 and from 6:30-8pm and continue for 7 weeks until Oct 13. Come prepared each week with your region music printed out, pencil, and highlighter ready to mark music. All students should come with a proficient knowledge of shifting to 3rd position for violin/viola, and 4th position for cello.

Virtual Masterclass Format:

6pm- Group A will receive instruction/drills on sections of audition music

6:30pm- Group A will complete individual practice for 30 minutes on the material just covered.

Group B will receive instruction/drills on sections of audition music.

7:00pm- Group A will complete the masterclass where each student will perform for the group and receive feedback to improve their music.

Group B will complete individual practice for 30 minutes on the material just covered.

7:30pm- Group A will be dismissed.

Group B will complete the masterclass where each student will perform for the group and receive feedback to improve their music.

8:00pm- Group B will be dismissed.
